How to Change Your Daily Wear Goal

AlignerSilk uses your daily wear goal to calculate how much out-of-mouth time you have available each day. For example, a 22-hour wear goal gives you about 2 hours of total out-of-mouth allowance.

Change your goal

  1. Open AlignerSilk.

  2. Go to Settings.

  3. Tap Daily Wear Goal.

  4. Choose your preferred wear time.

  5. Tap Done.

What changes after updating the goal?

Updating your daily goal affects:

  • The timer ring progress.

  • Your remaining out-of-mouth allowance.

  • Daily goal status in Insights.

  • Streak and achievement calculations.

Which goal should I choose?

Use the daily wear time recommended by your dentist, orthodontist, or aligner provider. AlignerSilk can help you measure consistency, but it should not replace clinical instructions.

Why did my remaining time change?

Your remaining out-of-mouth time is based on this formula:

24 hours - your daily wear goal = daily out-of-mouth allowance

So if you increase your wear goal, your available break time goes down. If you lower your wear goal, your available break time goes up.
