Notifications Aren't Showing Up

AlignerSilk uses notifications for return-to-aligner reminders, overtime alerts, delay actions, and treatment reminders. If notifications are not appearing, check both AlignerSilk settings and iOS settings.

Check AlignerSilk notification settings

  1. Open AlignerSilk.

  2. Go to Settings > Notifications.

  3. Turn on Enable notifications.

  4. Set the Reminder after time.

  5. If you want delay options, turn on Enable delay action.

  6. If you want tray reminders, turn on the treatment reminder option.

Check iPhone notification permission

  1. Open the iPhone Settings app.

  2. Tap Notifications.

  3. Select AlignerSilk.

  4. Make sure notifications are allowed.

  5. Check that Lock Screen, Notification Center, banners, sounds, or badges are enabled as desired.

Return-to-aligner reminders

These only schedule while an out-of-mouth session is running. If the timer is stopped, AlignerSilk will cancel the return reminder.

Treatment reminders

Treatment reminders depend on your tray timeline. If onboarding is incomplete, switch reminders are off, or there is no upcoming tray date, AlignerSilk may not schedule a treatment reminder.

Full-screen reminder alerts

On supported iOS versions, AlignerSilk may offer full-screen treatment reminder alerts. If these are denied in system permissions, standard notifications can still be used.
