How Treatment Timeline and Tray Reminders Work

AlignerSilk builds a treatment timeline from the aligner details you enter during onboarding: your aligner brand, total number of trays, current tray, current tray day, and how many days you plan to wear each tray.

Where to find your timeline

  1. Open AlignerSilk.

  2. Tap the Timeline tab.

  3. Review your current tray, upcoming trays, and planned switch dates.

How switch reminders work

If reminders are enabled, AlignerSilk can notify you when it is time to:

  • Switch to your next aligner.

  • Send a photo or scan before switching, if that reminder type is selected.

To manage these reminders:

  1. Go to Settings > Notifications.

  2. Turn on Enable notifications.

  3. Turn on the treatment reminder option.

  4. Choose the reminder type and time.

How to delay a tray

If your dentist tells you to stay in a tray longer, or you need more time before switching:

  1. Go to Settings > My Aligners.

  2. Use the Delay option.

  3. Choose how many days to push back the next switch.

  4. Tap Done.

Your timeline and next switch date will update around the delay.

Important note

Only change your aligner schedule based on guidance from your dental professional. AlignerSilk can organise dates and reminders, but it does not decide when you should move to a new tray.
